OLYMPUS PEN S

The OLYMPUS PEN S is a half-frame compact film camera.
It was released in 1960, the year after the first PEN. The cobalt shutter blades were changed from 2 to 5, and the shutter speed was changed from 5 steps to 7 steps. The lens aperture was improved from f3.5 to f2.8, allowing for sharper photos.
Because it's a half-frame camera, stopping down to f5.6 or higher provides a deep depth of field, allowing you to take pictures without worrying about the distance, as everything will generally be in focus.

This camera, perhaps due to the previous owner's care, shows some wear, but the light seals have been neatly replaced, and the aperture and shutter operate smoothly and feel good. The shutter speed dial is a bit stiff.
There is no visible mold on the lens, but there is some dust.
The viewfinder also has dust, but it doesn't obstruct the view.
I tested the operation with a dummy film.
Winding and shutter release worked. The shutter speed could also be changed. The film rewind lever is stiff.
There are no oil stains on the shutter or aperture blades.
There are no major scratches or dents on the body, but there are some minor scratches.
